Amy And David When Love Abides
The marital tale of Amy and David is quite simply about a dude, a dudette and an undeniable sense of magic. Its tapestry-like nature of episodic class-acts, crystalline sass, and sparkly pop-culture references, pull out all the stops before scripting an Oscar-worthy take on what it means to be modern and in love.
how they met
Unfraught by gratuitous twists and tangles, the sweetheart’s beginnings bring the extra-syrupy to the short-and-sweet. Set up by a friend, the two spent an incongruous evening at a hockey game. Because the sport’s not exactly their ‘thing,’ their focus was wholly on one another. Amy thought David was adorable with a capital puppy, and the pair talked and laughed for hours, like old, hot-for-each-other friends.
favorite date night
One month into the relationship, Amy and David attended a Shins concert. While the rest of the audience got up to dance, the new lovers stayed put as their commonly cuddly natures would insist. Realizing their mutual desire to sit, listen and drunk-people watch, the remainder of the night was spent kissing each other lipless.
proposal story
Amy was sure the couple’s wine excursion would set the stage for the imminent proposal, but after three lovely yet grand-gestureless days in Napa Valley, she dropped the hunch. On their way home to L.A., she and David made a pit stop and hiked to the top of a mountain. Standing above the Pacific ocean, in the midst of big and brawling nature, a fumbling David popped the question with an endearing dose of nerves. Amy, naturally, said yes.
the wedding
In chic springtime Montreal, Amy and David channeled starry L.A. for the best of both ‘green, white, and fresh’ worlds. On May 17th, 2009, these two cuties tied the knot against the elegant backdrop of Shaare Zion. Traditions Catering saw to their kosher fare whims while Style 011 bathed the couple in atmospheric lighting, stylish décor, and perfumey blooms. The result – a case of new slang when it came to the language of their love.
